Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling, organizing, and processing inventory, as well as preparing orders for dispatch. This role requires someone comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and on their feet for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Move and handle inventory across warehouse locations
• Process stock for delivery and dispatch
• Sort, organize, and store inventory correctly
• Package and label items accurately
• Scan incoming goods and verify quality
• Report damaged or missing stock
• Load and offload deliveries from trucks
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation
• Ensure a clean, safe, and hazard-free workspace
• Operate equipment such as forklifts where required
• Follow all safety procedures and wear protective gear
• Collaborate with team members to meet operational targets

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar warehouse role
• Forklift or Reach Truck certification (advantageous)
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items
• Comfortable standing, bending, and moving for long periods
• Strong communication (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays if required
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)
