Overview

Eskom is offering exciting opportunities through the Youth Employment Service (YES) programme, a national initiative led by the Presidency to combat youth unemployment in South Africa.

This programme provides unemployed youth with valuable work experience within Eskom’s operations in the GEMMA Cluster (North West), specifically within the Customer Service (Retail Business Unit).

Successful applicants will be placed on a 12-month contract, gaining hands-on exposure in the energy sector.

Minimum Requirements

• South African citizen

• Aged between 18 and 34 years

• Grade 12 with:

  • Mathematics (minimum 50%) or

  • Maths Literacy (minimum 70%)

• English (minimum 60%) plus at least one other official South African language

Selection Criteria

• Must not have been permanently employed with one employer for more than 12 consecutive months

• Must not be studying full-time during the year of employment

• Must not have previously participated in the YES programme

• Successful candidates will undergo a recruitment process and be placed within Eskom operations in the North West
