About the Programme

Eskom is inviting applications for its Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme, an initiative aimed at providing unemployed South African youth with valuable workplace experience. The programme forms part of the national YES initiative, led by the Presidency, to help tackle youth unemployment by offering young people their first opportunity to gain practical work experience.

Successful applicants will receive a 12-month fixed-term contract and will be placed at Eskom operations across South Africa.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be a South African citizen.
• Be between 18 and 34 years old.
• Have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Not have been permanently employed by a single employer for more than one continuous year.
• Not be studying full-time during the period of employment.
• Not have previously participated in or been registered on the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.
