Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Possess ABET Level 4, Grade 9 (Standard 7), or NQF Level 1 qualification.
  • Be South African citizens (proof required at the interview).
  • Be proficient in English and at least one other official South African language.
  • Have basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Be able to read and write.
  • Have knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures.
  • Understand the safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and detergents.
  • Be able to operate basic cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and professionalism.
  • Be willing to work extended hours when operationally required.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional working environment by:

  • Performing daily cleaning and housekeeping duties.
  • Cleaning offices, kitchens, ablution facilities, and surrounding areas.
  • Assisting with gardening and general grounds maintenance.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of kitchens and preparing refreshments when required.
  • Assisting with stock control, including receiving, loading, and offloading equipment and supplies.
  • Supporting the purchase and management of cleaning stock.
  • Transporting personnel, documents, equipment, and vehicles between designated locations when required.
  • Providing general logistical and operational support to the unit.
