A company within the boating and marine industry is seeking a skilled and reliable Driver (Code 10 / Code 14) to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of goods and equipment, in line with company policies and road safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Code 10 / Code 14 vehicles
  • Transport boats and related equipment
  • Drive and reverse vehicles with trailers
  • Ensure proper loading, securing, and offloading of boats
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure roadworthiness
  • Accurately complete logbooks, trip sheets, and delivery documentation
  • Comply with all road traffic laws and company safety standards
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or traffic violations promptly
  • Adhere to delivery schedules and routes
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and the public

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid South African driver’s licence (Code 10 or Code 14, including Code EB)
  • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ driving experience (heavy vehicle experience preferred)
  • Sound knowledge of road safety regulations
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and every second Saturday
  • Physically fit and able to assist with loading when required

  • High attention to detail and strong safety awareness


Working Conditions

  • Combination of local and long-distance driving, depending on operational needs
  • May require night shifts, weekend work, and public holiday shifts
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, traffic, and loading environments

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:30
  • Every second Saturday: 08:00 – 13:00
