Overview

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Pretoria is seeking a professional and experienced Driver to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, and efficient transport services, often in a high-performance and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Be available to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays on short notice when required
• Transport VIPs and embassy personnel safely and efficiently
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
• Valid South African Code B driver’s licence (light and heavy vehicles)
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
• Must be based in Pretoria
• At least 5 years’ experience driving VIPs and high-end vehicles (e.g., armoured vehicles, SUVs, 4x4s, vans, left-hand drive vehicles)
• Clean criminal and driving record

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of road safety and defensive driving techniques
• Ability to read maps and follow directions accurately
• Physically and mentally fit for a demanding work environment
• Professional, reliable, punctual, and adaptable
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic mechanical knowledge
