The Department of Water and Sanitation is inviting applications for the position of Driver/Messenger within the Corporate Support Services Branch: Auxiliary Services.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• An NQF Level 2 qualification or relevant qualification

• A valid Code 8 driver’s licence

• At least one year of experience in a driver/messenger environment

Knowledge and Competencies

Candidates should demonstrate:

• Knowledge of driving and messenger services

• Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety protocols

• Good record-keeping and reporting skills

• Reliability, punctuality, and accountability

• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will:

• Drive light motor vehicles

• Complete vehicle logbooks and trip authorisations

• Collect and deliver documents

• Transport officials to and from various destinations

• Conduct routine vehicle safety inspections

• Provide support with registry services
