Job Purpose

To carry out general housekeeping and operational duties that support an efficient, safe, and productive working environment. The role also includes assisting with battery installation and removal for vehicles, as well as ensuring proper battery charging processes.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance (50%)

• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Maintain operational integrity within the work environment
• Report any risks, concerns, or irregularities promptly
• Ensure all procedures are consistently followed

Customer Service (20%)

• Apply company service and sales procedures
• Maintain positive relationships with customers
• Escalate customer queries or complaints to the Store Manager
• Demonstrate knowledge of products, pricing, and battery selection tools

General Assistance (10%)

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing hazardous or obsolete materials
• Perform manual labour tasks as directed by supervisors
• Report faulty equipment or unsafe conditions
• Follow daily work schedules and adhere to housekeeping standards

Staff Support (10%)

• Foster effective working relationships with team members
• Assist colleagues where needed
• Identify and resolve basic operational issues within your area

Cost and Waste Control (10%)

• Support efforts to minimise waste, loss, and damage
• Report incidents or inefficiencies to management promptly

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 2)

Experience:

• Up to 1 year of experience in a general worker role

Technical Knowledge:

• Basic understanding of company procedures and standard operating practices (SOPs)
