In accordance with the Department’s Employment Equity Plan, women and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applicants must complete and submit the latest Z83 Application for Employment Form, issued by the Minister for the Public Service and Administration in terms of Regulation 10 of the Public Service Regulations, 2016.

  • All sections of the new Z83 form must be fully completed, initialled, and signed.

  • A detailed and comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) must accompany the application.

  • Applications submitted without a properly completed Z83 form and comprehensive CV will be disqualified.

The new Z83 form can be obtained from any Public Service Department or downloaded from the DPSA website at:

Only shortlisted candidates who meet the minimum requirements will be requested to submit certified copies of qualifications, ID documents, and a valid driver’s licence (where applicable). Certified documents must not be older than six (6) months.

Shortlisted candidates, including SMS applicants, will be required to undergo two pre-entry assessments:

  1. A practical assessment to evaluate technical and generic competencies relevant to the post.

  2. An integrity (ethical conduct) assessment.

The Department is committed to promoting representivity (race, gender, and disability) in the Public Service. Preference will be given to candidates whose appointment will enhance representivity in line with the Employment Equity Plan. Applicants are therefore required to indicate their race, gender, and disability status to facilitate this process.

Applicants with foreign qualifications must ensure that such qualifications are evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

The Department reserves the right not to fill the advertised post. If no response is received within three (3) months of the closing date, applicants should consider their application unsuccessful.
