About the Opportunity
Have you recently completed your Millwright qualification and are eager to gain hands-on industry experience? If you are hardworking, reliable, fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English, and have your own transport with a valid driver’s licence, this opportunity could be ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment
- Support experienced technicians and millwrights both on-site and in the workshop
- Perform basic electrical and mechanical fault-finding
- Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Maintain clean and organised tools and workspaces
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Continuously develop technical and practical skills through training and mentorship
Requirements
- Recently completed a Millwright apprenticeship qualification (such as through Sol-Tech or a similar institution)
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Strong technical ability and willingness to learn
- Own reliable transport is advantageous due to the location
- Practical, hands-on approach with a strong interest in technical work
- Willingness to work in workshop and client-site environments
- Dependable, hardworking, and eager to grow within the trade
