Overview

In support of employment creation and the development of scarce and critical skills aligned to the National Skills Development Strategy III (NSDS III), Rand Water invites applications for its Water and Wastewater Treatment Process Operations Learnership Programme (NQF Level 2).
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:

Be unemployed
-
Not be enrolled in any academic institution or registered for another learnership
-
Not hold a completed post-matric qualification (non-disclosure will result in disqualification)
-
Have Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Physical Science (minimum Level 3 in all subjects)

Be a South African citizen with a valid SA ID
-
Be between 18 and 35 years of age (in line with NSDS III requirements)

Key Responsibilities
-
Assist with the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants
-
Monitor water quality parameters
-
Conduct basic laboratory testing
-
Support maintenance of equipment and instruments
-
Participate in sampling and analysis processes
-
Attend theoretical training sessions as part of the programme
-
Complete assignments, projects, and assessments
-
Maintain a practical logbook to demonstrate learning and competency
Knowledge and Competencies
Knowledge:
Understanding of Rand Water’s mandate and its role within the water sector.
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Attributes:
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
