Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) is inviting applications from unemployed South African graduates aged between 18 and 35 years to participate in its two-year Young Professional-in-Training Programme. This structured development programme combines formal learning and practical workplace experience to help graduates build professional skills and improve their long-term employability.

The programme includes mentorship, on-the-job training, and regular performance assessments every six months to ensure participants gain meaningful development and workplace exposure.

Programme Overview

Successful candidates will be placed within various functional areas in Johannesburg, where they will receive:

• Structured professional development.
• Practical workplace experience.
• Mentorship and coaching from industry professionals.
• Exposure to Transnet Freight Rail operations and business processes.
• Continuous assessment and development over a 24-month period.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be South African citizens.
• Be between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
• Be unemployed.
• Have completed a Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7 or 8) from a recognised Higher Education institution.
• Have no previous work experience in their field of study.

Relevant Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
• BCom in Marketing.
• BCom in Economics.
• BCom in Market Research.
• Related qualifications in relevant disciplines.
