Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and compile statistical reports from the Electronic Case Management System (ECMS)
  • Collect, collate, and maintain accurate court statistics on a daily basis
  • Prepare and submit monthly statistical reports to supervisors and relevant NPA offices (CPP, DPP, or National Office)
  • Verify and validate statistical data and case information
  • Capture and update case details on the ECMS
  • Register and scan incoming dockets, and capture new cases on the system
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of all data recorded on ECMS
  • Liaise with Prosecutors regarding case matters and updates
  • Provide dockets (electronic or hard copies) to the Defence when required
  • Assist with photocopying of charge sheets and case documentation
  • Respond to case flow queries from Prosecutors and SAPS
  • Act as a liaison between the NPA and SAPS to obtain urgent or missing dockets
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including witnesses and complainants, regarding court dates and case outcomes
  • Provide case administration and document management services
  • Prepare, maintain, and manage case files
  • Release relevant documents to authorised stakeholders
