Overview

H Systems (Pty) Ltd. is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Picker and Packer to join its warehouse team in Kempton Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders, packing products securely, maintaining warehouse organization, and supporting daily warehouse operations while following company quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Picking Orders

• Pick stock accurately according to customer picking slips.
• Verify that the correct products and quantities are selected.
• Complete picking documentation accurately with all required details, including names, dates, dimensions, weights, and signatures.
• Report any stock shortages, discrepancies, damaged goods, or colour and quantity differences.

Packing and Dispatch

• Pack products securely and according to company procedures to prevent damage.
• Place stock in the correct storage or dispatch locations.
• Prepare orders for shipment and delivery.
• Wrap, label, and load products according to company requirements.
• Ensure completed orders are transferred to the dispatch area on time.

Warehouse Operations

• Keep warehouse stock neatly stored, labelled, and organised.
• Follow correct stacking and storage procedures.
• Load and unload goods from trucks and containers.
• Assist with receiving incoming stock.
• Support stock-taking and inventory counts.
• Accompany delivery drivers when required to assist with loading and offloading at customer locations.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse by sweeping floors, removing debris, dusting surfaces, and performing general housekeeping.
• Assist in other warehouse duties when operational needs require.
• Operate a company vehicle when necessary, provided a valid driver's licence is held.
• Follow all road safety regulations while driving company vehicles.
• Complete delivery documentation accurately and provide excellent customer service.

Health, Safety and Quality

• Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and company safety procedures.
• Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and hazards immediately.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and workplace safety.
• Participate in SHEQ and Integrated Management System activities.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and report non-conformances.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar warehouse, picking, or packing role.

Knowledge

• Basic numerical and counting skills.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and inventory processes.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and warehouse quality procedures is advantageous.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to pick and pack orders accurately.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet productivity targets.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering quality service.
